EXTENDED INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Run the Mozilla Firefox browser

  5. Click Show Advanced Settings

  7. In the “Tracking” section, you can change the following cookie settings:
    • Ask sites not to track you
    • Tell sites you’re willing to be tracked.
    • Do not communicate any preferences regarding the tracking of personal data
    • From the “History” section you can:
    • By enabling “Use custom settings” you select to accept third-party cookies (always, from the most visited sites or never) and to store them for a specific period (until they expire, until Firefox is closed or until you ask every time)

  1. Run Internet Explorer Browser

  3. Click the Privacy tab and in the Settings section, adjust the slider according to the action you want for cookies:
    • Block all cookies

How to disable third-party service cookies

Another feature available in most modern browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) is incognito mode. You can browse in incognito mode to prevent your website visits or downloads from being recorded in your browsing and download history. With incognito mode, all cookies created are deleted after you close all incognito windows.

INFORMATION AND CONSENT PURSUANT TO LEGISLATIVE DECREE NO. 196 OF 30 JUNE 2003

(protection of individuals and other subjects with respect to the processing of personal data)

To comply with privacy laws, we inform you about the use of your personal data and your rights. Our company must collect certain data about you. We therefore ask you to consent to the processing of data strictly necessary for the operations and services you request.

This consent also concerns more specifically:

Adding your name, profession, and company to our reference list. For these services, we do not process “sensitive” data, such as your health, political and trade union opinions, and religious beliefs (Article 4, paragraph 1, Legislative Decree 196/2003). The data you provide will be used only with methods and procedures strictly necessary to provide you with the desired services, which are specifically indicated in the contract.

Without your data, we cannot provide you with our services, in whole or in part. Some data must be disclosed by you or third parties as required by law (for example, by anti-money laundering regulations). You have the right to know, at any time, what data you have and how it is being used. You also have the right to have it updated, supplemented, corrected, or deleted, to request its blocking, and to object to its processing. These rights are provided for by Article 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003. Deletion and blocking apply to data processed in violation of the law. Supplementation requires a legitimate interest. The right to object can always be exercised with respect to commercial and advertising materials, direct sales, or market research. In other cases, objection requires a legitimate reason.

1. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING

The processing is aimed at Vimen Srl’s fulfillment of the purposes of concluding, managing, and executing contracts and managing assistance and maintenance activities exclusively related to the water treatment activity for which the company is authorized under the applicable law.

2. DATA PROCESSING METHODS – PROCESSING:

A) It is created through the operations or set of operations indicated in art. 1, paragraph 2, letter b) of the law: collection; recording and organization; processing, including modification, comparison/interconnection; use, including consultation, communication; storage; deletion/destruction; security/protection, including accessibility/confidentiality; integrity/safeguarding;

B) is also carried out with the aid of electronic or otherwise automated means;

C) is carried out directly by the owner’s organization; however, it may also be carried out by parties external to that organization, forming part of the sector’s distribution chain or by service companies acting as data processors (see point 9 below) and/or data processors.

3. DATA PROVISION

Without prejudice to the personal autonomy of the interested party, the provision of personal data may be:

a) Mandatory by law, regulation or EU legislation (for example, for anti-money laundering, central accident register, civil motorization);

b) Strictly necessary for the conclusion of new relationships or for the management and execution of existing legal relationships or for the management of technical assistance.

4. REFUSAL TO PROVIDE DATA

Any refusal by the interested party to provide personal data in the cases referred to in point 3 letters A) and B) will make it impossible to conclude and execute the related maintenance contracts or manage technical assistance.

5. COMMUNICATION AND DISSEMINATION OF DATA

Personal data may be disclosed—for the purposes set out in point 1 and for processing for the same purposes or as required by law—to other entities in the sector, such as consumer credit companies. However, personal data will not be disclosed either in Italy or abroad.

6. RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTY AND DATA CONTROLLER/PROCESSOR

Article 13 of the Law grants the interested party the exercise of specific rights, including the right to obtain confirmation from the data controller as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her exists and to have it made available in an intelligible form; to be informed of the source of the data, as well as the logic and purposes underlying the processing; to obtain the erasure, anonymization, or blocking of data processed for violation of the law; as well as the updating, rectification, or, if interested, integration of the data; and to object, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of the data. To exercise his or her rights, as well as to obtain the names of the data controllers and the entities referred to in Article 5, the interested party may contact Vimen Srl, with registered office at Via Cardinal Tiberio Crispi n. 8, 01016 Tarquinia (VT), Italy, which, as the data controller, identifies the administrative manager for Italy at the time of Vimen Srl.
