In its laboratories a range of speciality products are produced: liqueurs, grappa, jams and marmaldes, marinades and vegetables preserved in extra virgin olive oil, still and sparkling wines, biscuits and fruit in syrup conserves, olives preserved in pickle  and their  very special extra virgin olive oil.

The Valle del Marta makes up beautiful gift hampers in cane baskets or wooden boxes containing specialties produced exclusively by the farm and bottled and packed by the staff. Each bottle or pack can be personalized to whoever you wish and sent all over the world with very quick delivery and extremely convenient  prices!

  

Tarquinia and its territory, at nearly 80 km from Rome, is the ideal place to explore the archaeological and gastronomical aspects of Lazio. 

The Etruscan city of Tarquinia has been declared by Unesco “world-wide patrimony of the humanity” for the importance and oneness of the historical testimonies. It rises from the valley of the river Marta and 3000 years ago it was the most flourishing artistic centre of the Etruscan Civilization. 

Already in the period in which the Etruscans dominated the territory of the Tuscia it was customary to cultivate an angle of ground the cultivation of fruit, vegetables and a vineyard to guarantee  a quantity of food and  wine to consume  within the year. “Plinio the old” (a roman author) praised in his writings the particular taste of the wine of Tarchuna (Tarquinia); the same for all the other cultivations, oil, fruits and vegetables. 

 

In the same valley, for four generations, the Pusceddu family manages the agricultural firm “Fattorie Valle del Marta”, maintaining through time the healthy and genuine country traditions of our family. 

 

After having found a great interest from the Italian public, today our organisation wants to also offer the possibility for visiting foreigners to come into contact with the genuine Italian country culture.

“3 Days of Fresh Air and Culture”

The three day cultural adventure starts on Friday afternoon at the resort. Once you are checked in and refreshed, dinner is served in our restaurant offering typical plates of the region. Saturday morning we start with fresh air and a mountain bike tour of the historical centre of Tarquinia. Lunch is served on your return at the resort. The afternoon is open for a stroll in the countryside or just relaxing by the swimming pool. The evening begins with a Barbeque of a variety of meats and sausages. Before retiring, a warm tisane is served in the lounge at the swimming pool where you can recount your day’s adventure or relax and listen to the music. Sunday after breakfast, we take you on a tour of the National Etruscan Museum. The adventure finishes with lunch and greetings at the resort.

Arriving Monday morning and leaving Sunday afternoon,

guests will have one week to spend time at our resort absorbing these three elements waking up in the beautiful backdrop of the Mediterranean landscape of Tarquinia. You will be entertained with pleasant and interesting excursions of the ancient Etruscan civilization (the National Etruscan Museum,

Etruscan Necropolis and “the Ara della Regina”) and the medieval centers of Tarquinia and nearby Tuscania. Both medieval centers are rich in opulent churches, palaces and towers. In this itinerary you will not only witness the extraordinary history in the untamed Etruscan Maremma,

but walk the very paths of many well known writers and poets.

Guests arrive late in the afternoon on Friday, check in, relax or have a swim.

 Dinner is served after 8pm. Saturday morning you will be taking a tour of ancient Etruscan Civilization sites with a guided tour of the National Archaeological Museum and the Etruscan Necropolis at Tarquinia. Lunch will be served at the resort. After a great meal and a bit of relax, the guests are primed to begin a guided tour of “Valle del Marta” and tasting of liquor and alcoholic infusions produced on the premises. Dinner served after 8pm. Before retiring, a warm tisane will be served at the music bar near the pool where you can listen to music or recount your adventures of the day. Sunday starts with breakfast and relax on the tranquil grounds and pool while waiting for the grill to heat up for a traditional barbeque typical of the region. Check out in the afternoon.

 BIKE TOUR “Centro Storico Tarquinia”

  The bike tour starts from the city gate “Clementina”. The bikes and the helmets will be ready for you from the highest point of the tour so you can enjoy 90% of the tour in decent. The remaining 10% is practically on level ground. We have arranged the tour in the characteristic medieval quarter of Tarquinia where you will explore the quaint alleyways, piazzas and monuments. A short pause with an explanation will be given at each point of interests. Points of interest on the tour are: the Town Hall, National Museum of the Etruscan Civilization of Tarquinia and the church “Santa Maria in Castello”. The tour concludes passing through the countryside of “Valle del Marta” alongshore of the Marta River.

Tasting of typical products of the region produced by “Valle del Marta” followed by a tasting of our infused liquors from generations of family recipes unique to “Valle del Marta”.

2:15pm Transportation to the spa

We have custom organized an afternoon with the beauty center. It will be open exclusively for your wedding group. Upon arrival each guest will be given a pair of slippers and a bathrobe. We have structured the afternoon so that the women can stay together and enjoy the afternoon of being pampered. The center, located in the medieval center of town, has the capacity to do 5 treatments at one time and we will organize this in rotation. The waiting time will be in a comfortable waiting lounge with fresh seasonal fruits and Italian pastries accompanied with prosecco (Italian champagne) and spring water. The treatment package will consist of a manicure, facial and body massage. The total treatment time will be just over an hour and a half (20min manicure, 40min facial, 30min. massage). The waiting your turn time will be fun and lavishing, a special event to add to your Album of wedding memories. Return to the Valle del Marta at 6:30pm.

 Bus pickup Valle del Marta 10am. We will take the country road “Via Cassia” north and tour 40 km through the picturesque countryside of the “Maremma” in it’s autumn splendor to the olive grove. We will explain to the group the olive cultivation and production of extra virgin olive oil and harvest olives. The harvested olives and the guests will be taken to the “Frantoio” to see olives pressed into oil. You will be served a Country style lunch with salami, cheeses, olives, open fire bruschetta and of course ample supply of our fine wines. Before returning to Valle del Marta we will stop at a 2000 year old roman hot baths at Vetralla for a hot bath. Return to Valle del Marta at 6pm.
